The Intersection of Occupational Safety and Health with Emerging Technology

This report presents the findings of a scoping evidence review on the impact of emerging technology on occupational safety and health (OSH), informed by a literature review and data collection with experts, including interviews and a workshop. As well as providing a summary of the evidence landscape, the review summarises findings for six technologies selected based on an initial literature search and feedback from experts: algorithmic management, emotional artificial intelligence (AI), wearable devices, OSH-focused smartphone applications, collaborative robots (cobots) and augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR).
